First: Perform a self-evaluation (brochure)
[a] You are eligible to apply for FULL membership if you have:
- an MSc degree in Computer Science from a tertiary institution and three (3) years' working experience in the industry OR
- a Masters degree (non Computer Science) and four years' (4) years' working experience in the industry OR
- a BSc degree in Computer Science from an accredited tertiary institution and five (5) years' working experience in the industry OR
- any other degree from an accredited tertiary institution and seven (7) years' working experience in the industry OR
- British Computer Society (BCS) qualification and five (5) years' working experience in the industry OR
- no degree and seven (7) years' working experience in the industry. NB: Applicants who fall within this category will be subject to an interview
[b] You are eligible to apply for ASSOCIATE membership if you are
- currently in the Information Technology industry.
NB: After seven (7) years continuous working experience in the IT industry, Associate Members may be upgraded to Full Members
[c] You are eligible to apply for AFFILIATE membership if you are
- the holder of a professional qualification from any discipline and have an interest in the application of Information Technology. NB: Affiliate Membership cannot be upgraded.
[d] All registered companies operating in Jamaica are eligible to apply for INSTITUTIONAL AFFILIATE membership
[e] You are eligible to apply for STUDENT membership if you are

a registered student at a tertiary institution who is pursuing a BSc OR
- pursuing an equivalent degree at an accredited institution.
